“A lot of people say, ‘Don’t take a pay cut, because then you’re not showing your worth.’ And that’s something that was hard for me to get my mind past, because that’s what I’d been told my whole life. […] But coming into this, I haven’t proved myself. Why should they pay me money if I haven’t proved myself and what I can do? They’re taking just as much of a risk on me, as I am on them.”
“I think when it comes down to podcasting, spend less time on the equipment and worrying about the technical side, and spend more time on the content side. And figuring out what you want your podcast to be, and how you want it to flow.”
“Don’t be afraid to try different things. […] If you haven’t figured out exactly what you want to be doing, try something else.”

Seth is an audio engineer at Vaynermedia in NYC, a full service digital ad agency. He primarily works on CEO Gary Vaynerchuk’s personal brand, GaryVee, producing his daily podcast, The GaryVee Audio Experience - but also assists in client side work when needed, supporting the agency’s beliefs in the emerging audio space.
Prior to VaynerMedia, Seth worked in the 3D printing industry in both competitive analysis and social media content creation & distribution. He received his degree in audio engineering from SUNY Purchase.
